Shocking. I don't think they were one of the favorites going in. Good for them! Another medal in a female sport. They're killing it for us in 2024.

Gutsy win. Down a set and facing match point to playing for gold.

Brazil I think is likely opponent and they looked good. Gonna be a difficult final.

Great moment for Melissa & Brandie after a bad pool session. They've had a tough road to get there, but they're getting a guaranteed medal out of this. First time for Canada's women's beach volleyball I believe?

Good morning of volleyball. The women's Brazil v. USA game is heavyweight bout, going down the wire in the final set also.

Correct, Canada's only volleyball medal is a men's bronze in 1996.

Germany going to lose to France in basketball.

Getting easier and easier for the US.

Edit: of course France is getting favorable treatment by the officials lol.

Can we acknowledge how terrible this tournament has been? Genuinely awful basketball overall from everyone outside the Americans. France making the final with Wemby being virtually a non-factor the whole event says it all. If the quality is gonna be this poor then just bring back the amateurs, would probably be a more competitive tournament too that way.

Wemby was what.... 4-16 today? Yeah absolutely brutal. I guess they won't pay attention to that, since he's the face of the team... but you're 100% right. There has been nothing noteworthy of this tournament. If the Americans play at 100% they could crush France by 60+ points. Yet I expect they'll lay off the gas once they're up 20 points.

The only interesting thing has been the crowds hatred of Embiid. Will that lead to any long term emotional damage?

What a throw from Pakistan. It's great seeing nations like India, Pakistan, and Philippines finally winning medals in the Olympics.

I did not know there was an India-Pakistan rivalry in javelin throwing!

That's an Olympic record by 2 metres!
