I’m watching on CBC Gem. I’d bet hard dollars it’ll be an CBC tonight around 10:30-11:30 with a condensed version of the highlights.

Waves are a bit small currently. A bit disappointing. Hopefully it gets bigger

I enjoy watching the 3x3 basketball even though it is sloppy. It could grow quickly in quality if it sticks around for a while.

The 3x3 Men's Gold was at least pretty intense with France competing.

PBP was driving me nuts though as she kept talking about how there is no 3 pt shot like that meant its harder to gap points, when the 2pt shot is actually even more valuable compared to 1 pointers.

Also a faillure to not explain how overtime worked. I'm still not sure I understand.

Zero men competing in artistic swimming. Piers Morgan must be turning in his grave.

This year, the Games will be the first to achieve numerical gender parity, according to the IOC, with the same number of female and male athletes participating. But there are still slightly more medal events for men, 157, compared to 152 for women, plus 20 mixed-gender events.
I'm guessing this is just a few more weight classes for men? I'd think women's events might range from like 90-170 lbs? Mens could be like 130-270 lbs?

I think it was just whoever scored two points first won the game. A strange rule, and kind of an anticlimactic way to end the game. First two points win... but you don't need to win by two points (like in volleyball).

The gold medal match was exciting! But the rest of the tournament was rather lacklustre.

Volleyball is fantastic! I watched some of Poland/Slovenia and Brazil/USA. It was incredible! So many insane rallys. No wonder the crowd was so passionate. I don't think I've ever sat down and watched a fully volleyball match till last night. My buddy is from Poland so I'm hoping they go all the way.

Beach volleyball is pretty fun as well. I love the location outside the Eiffel Tower, and the view inside the venue ain't half bad either
