Agreed, and you don't want the big 100m stars pulling a hamstring in the relay before the individual 100m

Wish I knew what the other 3 riders in the Women's road race were thinking when Faulkner attacked. They all just looked at each other, and decided to race for silver and bronze.

I missed the race earlier but finally watched the finals 4x100 medley relay and what a thrilling race that was! Unbelievable swim by all the competitors but especially the Chinese and in particular, their anchor, Pan Zhanle who continued to impress!

It's amazing what a state sponsored doping program does for athletes.

I don't know. The Chinese team has been tested far more than any other team in these Olympics and these swimmers were deemed to be free of drugs.
The IOC spoke on this already.

But I like what their teammate, Zhang Yufei said in response to people similar to you earlier this week.

I don't think we're going to agree on this which is fine. Some say that WADA can't be trusted, while I don't think the USADA, which is funded by the US, can be trusted (whereas others do).
I prefer to enjoy the games and accept the results unless things do come out, and admire the dedication of all athletes, and not be dependant on what race they are.

WADA President Witold Banka said that when it comes to anti-doping, U.S. athletes are some of the least tested in the world and that USADA has used the contamination explanation to clear Americans of positive tests.
"There have been a number of environmental contamination cases in the past, in fact, some of the most elaborate and surprising contamination scenarios have come out of the U.S.," Banka said.

Yes. It’s their race, not the state sponsored doping. Come on. They just all ate tainted hamburgers and that’s why they tested positive.

Oh USADA 100% has an agenda so I don't trust them either but the flimsy excuses given by the Chinese Olympic Committee give me 0 faith they are telling the truth as well. My best guess is there is a state sponsored doping system but it is probably not as widespread as USADA is claiming.

So how do you explain clearing all the tests right now? At this point, they are tested 4x more than a oy other countries athletes. Must be one big conspiracy huh? Seems more like sour grapes to me, and a continued western agenda against anything Chinese at this point.

The doping line has always been fairly arbitrary. The best athletes are the best athletes. The final few % of performance come from flirting with or circumventing that doping line.
It's hubris to believe that X is dirty and Y is clean just because of their flag. I figure most are similarly 'dirty', whatever the hell that means

passing all the tests doesn't mean they're clean it just means it hasn't been caught yet. Look at all the athletes who never actually test positive but admit to doping.

If that's the case, then you assume all other athletes are also doping but just didn't get caught yet, so what's the problem? You either accept the ioc drug testing results or you assume everyone is doping. Again, just sounds like sour grapes to me at this point, which is fine. Western media whips their people into an anti Chinese frenzy just as much as China does for their people on a anti Western frenzy. We are all a product of these manipulations.

I mean for me I don't give a crap if its China or Russia or whatever country. It's pretty obvious to me both countries have had state sponsored schemes. The biggest problem is that all the drug testing is no longer independent and it has become completely political for WADA to do anything.
