Degrasse is done. He was out of it right from the start.

Damn too bad for De Grasse. I'm sure he'll do better in the 200m. That's his better race.

I wonder how long we need to wait for a new contender for Canada in the mens 100.

Had no expectations at all for Degrasse in this event but I’d actually say for him his start today seemed ok - but for sure never felt that second gear of the past was going to really kick in and it did not

Yeah, maybe it was just the camera angle, but to me it looked like he was in 2nd until the last 15m or so. Also noticeable is how small he looks compared to those other guys...sprinters are freaking units these days!

I love the RC cars they use to return the hammers.

Yeah that throw should do it. Just off the Olympic record of 84.80 from a Soviet guy!

Crazy that a record from 1986 still stands. $20 says he was juicing.

Looks like many suspect that he was on steroids.

Sedykh's 1986 world record has been noted for its longevity, and for dating from "a time when track and field was starting to realize the scale of performance-enhancing drug use" (AP).[9] In his 2020 book The Rodchenkov Affair, Russian doping whistleblower Grigory Rodchenkov stated that Sedykh was a heavy user of steroids; Sedykh denied allegations of doping.[10][9]

Gold in hammer throw! Our guy was so far ahead they didn’t even talk like anyone else had a chance. The competition was over after his first throw.

Have him and Summer carry the flags at the closing ceremony. What a beauty.

I wish they closed the summer Olympics with the 100 m run. That would be a great final event.
