Canada makes it through, the point deduction is almost irrelevant and now the real team punished is the group winner that has to play them next round instead of an actual 2 or 3 seed

Watching this on Gem now. Was this Canadian coverage? I understand it was all about the battle for Gold but commentary did not mention once that Canadian got bronze.
Must be international broadcast

If it is a replay on Gem I imagine it is the International feed. The live broadcast had lots to say about Kharun

Um I saw videos of athletes participating in the triathlon puking after coming out of the water? Is this real?! Why are they still having the athletes go in there with all the reported e.coli?!
Saw a graphic that Ledecky has all 20 of the all time fastest times in the 1500M free. I guess she’s pretty good.
Also watched a bit of the 3x3 basketball. That doesn’t need to be in the Olympics, it’s kind of a joke.
Get ready for breakdancing as well! Starts in a week.
I can see the reason for adding these to the competition, as a stunt to bring in the younger audience. But were past the point of the Olympics are truly about sporting and athletics. Instead they're veering towards hobbies, leisure activities and other weekend warrior events.
What are they going to add in 2028... fishing, bowling, sewing, parkour, and DDR? I know the Olympics are just a giant cash grab for the IOC and its organisers, but this is going too far. I doubt the new generation is tuning in to watch these new events.
