Default Closing Ceremony Flag Bearer?

Who do we think it will be? Will it be a duo? Plenty of very deserving athletes but I feel like Summer McIntosh is the right decision

Summer is the obvious choice. I think the other would be a duo of the two that won hammer throw gold.

I assume McIntosh was already not chosen as I saw an interview with her earlier where she had already returned to Canada. I definitely would've chose her.

She did say she would go back to Paris for it if she was asked so it is still an option

I read somewhere that Oleksiak did the same thing in Rio. Flew back to carry the flag.

Watched Summer land in Toronto so that may put her out of the running. Unless she hops a plane back; that’s what I want.

I would assume they'll have two again? One male and one female. Summer has to be one... has De Grasse carried the flag yet? He should be in consideration as it's probably his last Olympics.

Of course Summer is an obvious choice.
I'd be good with both hammer throwers

My choices:Summer McIntosh (Games’ star) and Andre De Grasse (gold medal, seven medals over the years, last Olympics),

De Grasse was one of the flag bearers in the Opening Ceremonies.

It looks like they've only ever had two bearers in the closing ceremonies if they were teammates and won together (Kaillie Humphries & Heather Moyse in 2014, for example).

Of course Summer is a no brainer but would have been cool to see both gold medal hammer throwers together. After all, we are a hammer throw nation now!
