Canada would be outstanding under NBA rules (especially with our 1v1 defenders), but I just don't see it in FIBA. Euros grow up playing more FIBA style so its like riding a bike to switch back to it. I actually think France and Serbia might have the optimal set up with a few NBA stars surrounded by Euro All-Stars. Even little things like fewer stoppages and TV timeouts are harder to adjust to (but one of the US's biggest advantages with their bench).
I'd say that offense just looked 'hard' for Canada throughout the tournament, and we were flattered by SGA saving the day a lot. I don't really see enough size in the pipeline to help things, but who knows.
