With 5 d-men ranked in the top 60, it's easy to say the back end is our strong point. That group in from of a Vas/Desmith combo, on paper, seems like a dream.

But....it's the SIM and I anticipate us leading the league in shots against for some sick reason.

Our forwards are weak, in comparison. We have 7 of the top 100 but something seems off with the balance right now and we'll be looking to make a change there. We need to dove into all attributes and see how the lines could mesh.

The first order given by ownership is for management group to move a top pairing D.

Need to improve my top line forwards if at all possible. No real "1st" line talent but some okay middle 6 type of players. Really need to try to add some top line talent though.

I'm really happy with my defensive depth. My main roster group rates pretty well and they are all under 25 years old. Plus I have Fabbro, Hague, Bouchard, Bayreuther, Brisebois, and Allard as prospects on my AHL roster and they will probably crack NHL rosters in the next 12 months.

Ullmark is a good goalie and hopefully he can take the next step but I will likely look to fill my starting goalie position in UFA with some decent options available there this year.

In the time between now and July Monahan, I mean July 23, the Sharks were able to use free agency and make a number of deals to solidify the 2019-20 Sharks lineup. We really like how our roster is shaping up with a solid mix of studs, vets and youth. A fairly deep top 9 and a 4th line we think can get the job done. Throw in a pretty good D and solid goalie, we like our chances to be able to compete again in the Wild Weak West.
