Not yet. He should be called Li'l Dice until he graduates into the NHL and then becomes Li'l Z, but the Flames will have to find him a voodoo witch doctor to make it official.
Pettersen. Pospisil. Zavgorodny. Sveningsson. I can't spell without copying or properly pronounce any of these names, but I'm glad the Flames drafted them.
It is nice having a couple of these late round picks have good draft + 1 and draft + 2 years. Especially since the Flames have had very few 2nd and 3rd round picks lately. If we can get a solid NHLer out of the last two drafts (besides Valimaki), it'll be a nice bonus.
I'll take these kind of high risk high skill picks over the Hunter Smith, Riley Bruce type of picks.

Calgary will have some great forward depth in the coming years down in the AHL, there could be a couple more NHL forwards here in Demetrios Koumontzis and Eetu Tuulola, perhaps even one of Linus Lindström, Milos Roman, Adam Ruzicka or D'Artagnan Joly.

Never go full Oiler...
We’ll be lucky if one of our fwd prospects is an impact player and another even makes the show
Peter Loubardias on the radio said that he’s heard from some insiders that Pettersen is starting to become a cant miss prospect. His impressive rookie season in a legit College conference certainly says a lot. Gotta give the amateur scouts credit, they’ve done some good work in the later rounds.

Another 1G/1A game for Pettersen at the Division I-A World Juniors as Norway defeated Latvia 4-2.
Unfortunately, Norway won't be getting promoted to the main tournament next year, but the win should ensure that they don't get relegated to the Division I-B next year.

Who is getting promoted? And do you have a link to the tournament format?
It's a six-team straight round robin where each team plays each other once. The top team gets promoted and the bottom team gets demoted.
The final games go tomorrow. If Germany wins its game over France, they will get promoted. In fact, the only way Germany won't get promoted is if they lose in regulation and Belarus wins in regulation over Latvia. In that case, Belarus will get promoted.
Even if Norway loses in regulation tomorrow, they won't finish last because they defeated the only teams that can tie them. No matter what happens tomorrow, Norway will remain in the Division I-A tournament next year.
