Teams in important-to-the-league markets winning championships and Gary Bettman. Name a more iconic duo.

People are already making like it was all smoke and mirrors and reality finally hit them, but they played cup-worthy hockey. It sucks, but man… how can you not be stoked to be a fan of a team like this?

Having the MVP hurt and now out with an injury just sucks and that’s a huge hill to climb for a team who had to climb hill after hill to get here.

I dunno, man. This wasn’t a mediocre team. It was a hell of a run and some great hockey along the way.

But I don't think Maurice ever did anything that special except for just throwing his top guys over the bench over and over.
Yeah, if I had to summarize this series it's that Maurice was summarily outcoached. Cassidy is elite, and Maurice is maybe above average at best.

Horrible special teams and discipline this series, and no clear adjustments when things went sideways for the Panthers. That's all coaching. To me, he's been the single biggest letdown in this series.

You don't get to decide who you cheer for IMO. If you do, it's not a real thing.

It's okay you will become numb to the pain and just expect more pain.

It's fun.

Maybe you're right. I just wished they put up a better fight in this series. I didn't think they were that far apart at the start, but I was wrong.

Assuming he wouldn’t have changed the outcome, it’s just as well Tkachuk isn’t playing. Chances are he’d start something stupid at this point in the game.

I wonder how packed t mobile will be once the knights franchise enters mediocrity or bottom feeding years after 5/6 successful years. Knights fans have been pretty spoiled, will see if they stick around.

I don't think Maurice has been out coached. Vegas has 4 strong lines eventually they wear you down. Chucky being out is huge as well.

Doesn’t matter. Vegas winning is easily a billion dollars+ in profit since they enter the league.

I'm happy for them. They are fun. They treat other fans well. It's an awesome experience taking in a game there.

It's a city that's never had their own pro team until recently because they are viewed as a transient town that is just tourists. So this must feel pretty good for them.

A Finnish hockey site did a piece on what's going wrong with the Panthers in these finals and gave it to Maurice big time calling him the weakest link on the team. Like you said, no adjustments to help the players.

If there is a questionmark with the Panthers going forward for me it's him. I think Zito will keep making the team better but Maurice is what he is at this point, a dinosaur.

hill has been amazing. I wonder what having a goalie who elevates his game for the playoffs feels like?
