If it wasn`t for Jay Leno the show might be watchable.

For those who have time shifting and already saw. I liked the first episode. The carwash skit was pretty funny. Got pretty intense when Kayne came on to talk about what happened last night and Jay brought up Kaynes DEAD mom asking "what she would think about what you did".

I saw it. It seemed like he was genuinely sorry.

I wasn't interested in Leno when he was in a time slot where there was nothing on. I have a hard time being interested in a similar show in a more competitive time slot. But who knows, maybe I'll watch it and love it.

I've usually found his stand up quite funny. Great band, but Letterman is still tops in that category.

Glad it is on earlier, will watch more. Those 12:30 late nights don't help for getting up every morning!

I disagree strongly. Whenever I'd hear him on O&A, I'd cringe. Seriously unfunny, crude humour.

Jimmy is hilarious, imo. Witty as hell. He is crude, but that's his bag. Patrice cracks me the hell up too.

Love his Ted skits (norton's)

I really thought when they did the "Cheaters" spoof sketch that it was going to be about Conan taking over the tonight show... and I was dissapointed. Verily.

The show was all sorts of MEH... but so was Conan and Jimmy for the first few weeks. I know Leno has decades of experience, but it's a new show...

That bit with Jerry and Oprah was lame as hell.

There was a whole lot of nothing going on with that... should have been better. Fell flat on it's face IMO.

Was lucky to get that interview with Kayne, and what was his main question? "What would your momma think?"... You bring up his dead mother? Nice work. ###### or not... you don't go there.

It was a relevant question because it was Kanye West, in the apology on his website, who mentioned that Taylor Swift's mother gave him a full load with both barrels backstage afterward.

So why not ask West what his mother might have thought?

Leno clearly had another Hugh Grant opportunity . . . . he asked Grant: "What were you thinking" in one of the more famous moments on the Tonight Show and this was pretty much the same.

West, by the way, has apparently removed that rambling, infantile, written apology from his website.

Sidebar to an earlier comment . . . . I've generally found Letterman to be unwatchable but always enjoyed Leno's monologues. You do wonder if he could have brought his writers from the Tonight Show with him.

I hope that Leno goes back to the original Tonight Show blueprint of introducing stand-up comics. In the past every comedian's dream was to make it to the Tonight Show.

Has Conan even had a stand-up comic on yet?

I think he's had a couple, but that model of exposure for comics isn't as important as it used to be.

Leno said on a Sunday Night Football promotion that he would be doing exactly that.

Doesn't his production company Big Dog hire the writers, one would think they would stay with him
