"Two and a Half Men" star finds religion, calls TV show "filth"
http://ca.reuters.com/article/entert...121126?sp=true
Quote:
Actor Angus T. Jones, star of CBS's raunchy television comedy "Two and a Half Men", has urged viewers to change the channel, saying his new-found religious beliefs are at odds with his job playing a fun-loving teen on the popular show.
Jones, 19, who has played Jake Harper - the son of Jon Cryer's character Alan - for nine years, appealed to fans to stop watching the show "and filling your head with filth."

This makes me laugh, how someone finds Jesus and everything they used to do before becomes evil.

If he's serious about it, then he should really donate all the money he's earned from the show. But I'm guessing all that's going to do is fuel the new cult he's joined. Lol, God-fearing. I guess his God rules with an iron hammer rather than with rainbows and lollipops.

So...... he's okay with cashing his pay cheques, but not with people watching it. If he was so serious he would break his contract a quit. Maybe breaking a contract would be against god though?

I find his show offensive too, offensively bad.

The Bible does say that the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous.. so he should keep doing the show and demand to be paid MORE so he can funnel the money wicked people pay to watch to himself (he being made righteous through his belief).

It doesn't take Jesus to know that this show is trash.
Completely uncreative script and plot, grade 8 potty humour, no depth to the characters whatsoever, boring and repetitive setting, very very very little change from season to season, mind numbingly bad acting.

Producers must have a contract with this guy, there must be clauses in it that dissallow this type of behavior especially from an employee.
In my opinion they should "Sue" this individual as the 1st step for damages.

I'm willing to bet that Kirk Cameron makes more money as a nut job than he ever would have if he stayed in acting. I actually think that there is a method to the madness.
The Jake character was practically written off the show already anyway. He's probably just a little bitter. I wouldn't be surprised if he is just doing this to get them to rip up his contract so he can move on.

I think it's a ploy to get released from his contract.

Too bad Charlie Sheen left. He would have been a perfect role model for him.

Yeah, it would be a lot to risk, but he is risking it no matter what reason. As a child actor moving on to adulthood, he stands a good chance of fading into obscurity especially considering that he isn't even regular anymore. It he has any aspirations of having a long career, he should get out.
Personally, I don't think he is good enough of an actor and he should just wait it through.
Or maybe he really does feel the way he says.

"Whoa there....Yes. The show is filth. You all knew that coming in, dont pretend to get all upset about it now."
