Interesting to see Eetu Tuulola on the list. I believe he is going to Europe next year.

Colton Poolman gets another look as well.

Sees the word "extends" and it's not Johnny...

Happy about Matty Phillips

With Chucky… does this pretty much guarantee he’s going into next year on a 1 year deal if he accepts?

Tuulola's QO is merely to retain his rights. He's already signed overseas for next season.

just a bummer to see how Parsons' pro career has turned out ... looked like a really exciting prospect at some point. Hope he's able to carve out a career for himself somewhere.

It’s an option for him.

If he doesn’t want to be long term and the Flames can’t facilitate a trade to a place he’d sign long term, then yeah - Chucky can force the Flames hand and take $9M QO or just go to arbitration if he thinks he’ll get awarded a richer one year deal.

Parsons....would love to know what happened with him over the last 18 months.

Tkachuk does have arbitration rights so I would assume that he goes that route as I bet he would get more going to arbitration.

He will take the one year unless he signs long term here. It buys him a year to get a long term deal done, get a trade to a team that will do it, or to go UFA.

He'd be dumb to go to arbitration. Too risky. An arbitrator wouldn't look at a one year average. And his comparables are not over 9M.

If he accepts. I'm not so sure he will though. I don't think he's looking to bolt for St. Louis as quick as he can like some suggest.

He's an anti-vaxxer for one and did not attend training camp as a result, and that was after he just signed a QO. He already lost the team's good graces and then pulls this, he chose to kill his career.

I'd bet the opposite. Arbitrators are about comparables and three year averages, and he's not going to make as much as Stone, Rantanen, Kucherov, Marner or Kane. Or, if you include LWs, Panarin, Ovechkin and Benn.

That's regarding his vaccination status or lack thereof, right?

Parsons was dealing with anxiety and depression struggles before the vaccination issue.
