Man alive. That looks awesome. I dare say that everything I saw from DC in these trailers looks good. There is always a chance they have learned. And as a rabid comic book fan I will enjoy this new content.

I’m sure there’s a million more details but I noticed the newspaper referring to Maroni Drug Bust. And the card says “what does ____ when dead?” And there’s some weird symbols.
That very brief shot in the rain has a real Frank Miller vibe.
The room in the beginning where riddler is duct tapping that guy looks similar to the room Selina Kyle is robbing. Presumably it would be Don Maroni since the headlines about him (i think) with the red LIES painted on it.
The night scenes look darker than GoT Battle of Winterfell.
Since they’re bringing back Keaton (albeit not on this movie) he should have said “I’m Batman”. I would have cheered out loud.

I like how they’re just leaning into the eye makeup thing. Like yeah, so the guy dresses as a bat but we’re just going to pretend he doesn’t paint in the obvious dark circles around his eyes?

Spoiler!
It looks like the dead guy is the mayor of Gotham. On the newspaper with the E from Lies painted on it, the headline says, "Don's done it again" and the sub headline looks like it says, "Mayor Mitchell Jr wins historic third term". Putting those things together, it would appear that the dead guy is Mayor Don Mitchell Jr.
The card says, "What does a liar do when he's dead?"
I agree that it looks like Selina is robbing the same place.

Yeah, I always laughed at the scene in Batman Returns where Bruce rips off the mask. They cut away from a shot where he has the normal makeup to a quick shot of Catwoman. Then it cuts back to him just before he rips off the mask and the makeup is gone.

Right that makes more sense. Why would Maroni have a “Maroni Drug Bust“ newspaper framed in his house? Lol.
I wonder if the Selina Kyle / Maroni link will be in this from the comics. Or is that Falcone from When in Rome etc? My Batman canon is rusty.
Seriously though, he peaks up after that beat down and says “I’m Batman”, instead of “vengeance”, in a slight evocation of Keaton, still keeping it serious but hinting a smile like he enjoys dishing out violence, and I die happy.
Those guys he beats up are joker themed thugs? They've started that The Joker is not part of the Pattison universe. Is this just a misdirection?
Does the Joker already exist in this universe? Could be going with joker is a movement theme. That's already running very heavily in both Gotham and the Joker.
The problem is, at this point, I don't even have any idea about what they're trying to pull off anymore.
Anyway, Pattinson's Batman does look terrific. I wonder what they'll do with it.

I guess there is something wrong with me cuz I'm not seeing anything so extraordinary in that trailer. At least not enough for the permaboner Cecil is sporting.
It is moody I guess?
I'll be seeing the movie regardless so they already have me. A comic book nerd at heart.
