McCall is a famous Calgarian and the only one tied to aviation so he get's my vote. But Calgary EverHard International Airporst has a nice ring to it as well.

Yeah I see no reason to give naming to a politician or other local celebrity when we had a WWI flying ace that was honoured with the airport name originally:

seriously - ladies and gentleman this cpatian smith from the flightdeck - today our trip to YYC Calgary International will take 4 hours - be glad you don't have to go to Edmonton instead

best name since the Ottawa redblacks were introduced

I know Michael Platt at the Sun would be on board with that. He wrote about the field being McCall previously a few years ago.

Update: He's going to have an article in The Sun on Sunday about this.

If I had more time, I would set up a twitter account @FlyMcCall and make it tweet everything @FlyYYC tweets but change YYC Calgary to McCall.

Speeds things up? Hardly. In the wretched area known as YVR US customs transfers (how can an otherwise nice airport mark off such a small area for something so critical) those 8 machines repeatedly crashed and were so slow that they started waving people through straight to the staffed kiosks to make the flight. With toddlers, it's rather comical to hold your kids up one by one to image them. And slow given you have to buckle them back into strollers.

Oh man, half the time it takes the photo right as I'm bending down to pick up the kid, because its on a counter and you dont have time to get the kids out. They really need to add a button so it takes it when your ready, or the ability to retake. Half the time it just gets a shot of the the top of people's backs as they scramble.

I also hate that you go through the kiosk process, and then half the time you still go through the same damn thing with the customs agent.
