Default The Sopranos is Back on HBO

I'm a huge fan of the show and it's my favorite series of all time above The Wire and Breaking Bad. Thought I'd leave a note here as I know there are at least a few fans on CP and if you haven't watched it before, watch it now although tonight it looks like it's season 2, episode 12 but they are showing them in order and for whatever reason they're showing back to backs until 5AM PST.

I’m watching it for the third time on Crave. It still holds up. Best drama ever.

Just watch it on HBO on demand?

Edit: Crave or whatever they changed the name to now.

The thing I've always loved about The Sopranos is the writing. I'm always picking up new things everytime I rewatch. For example just now, Tony is talking to Carmine senior at a get together to celebrate Chris and Eugene getting made and when Tony asks how New York knows about his personal issues when Carmine brings up Tony's panic attacks and Tony seeing Dr. Melfi, Carmine responds with, "Hey, it's not the stigmata it used to be".

Friggin brilliant.

Love this show. Every couple weeks I'll watch Christopher's intervention and laugh my ass off. Maybe my favorite scene in the entire series.

And I don't care what anybody says, the final ending is perfect.

I always liked the one where Christopher and Paula are roaming around the woods looking for that ex special forces guy that got away from them.

My favourite part of the Series was when Phil Leotardo turned into a house.

Paulie Walnuts is one of the greatest characters in the history of TV.

"You're not gonna believe this. He killed 16 Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator."

"His house looked like ####."

I don't get this. Big fan of Galdofini but most Sopranos fans are really excited about the prequel as David Chase and former The Sopranos writer Lawrence Konner are involved. Chase and others involved are predictably tight-lipped around details of the show other than Chris Moltisanti's grandfather and father will be a central part of the story going back to the original days and a young Tony Soprano will be in the film. I can't wait and hopefully it satisfies my Sopranos withdrawal since the show ended.

Me too. It'll likely be a pretty standard gangster story by great creators/writers with some Sopranos Easter eggs thrown in. Sopranos didn't really give us a lot of the early days of their family so it'll be fun too see some of that story played out.

I thought he came into the series when he was released from prison with that group of guys - like the guy they ended up framing for tv theft played by the general from independence day

activestick was probably being facetious, as Phil Leotardo never failed to mention how "he did his time in the can like a real man".
