After the break, we also play 3 games in 4 nights in Winnipeg, play edm for one, then Winnipeg once more.

We were supposed to go Wpg, Min, Chi, home for Edm and then NYR but then that Covid thing.

That won't do much for the teams, like the Flames, who have their break early or any team that has to make up games after their break occurs. I guess it makes sense but it's a bit of a wing and a prayer, IMO.

Dallas not playing for 2 weeks, and games TBD is a real mess for their division, so at least thats not a problem for our us. Knock on wood.

I think the schedule maker might be a Flames fan, with the early season break coming at the perfect time for lots of practicing after getting up to game speed. Also, having all travel to Winnipeg completed 3 weeks into the season was a stroke of genius.

I don't get the angst over the schedule.

It's probably a benefit to the Flames if anything...its just going to suck balls to go a week without hockey after already waiting this long

There will still be hockey. It'll just be No Good.

The biggest thing is winning tonight ...
Don't want to see this place with five days to digest a loss.

Flames win.
Oilers lose. Again.
Disaster averted.
Enjoy the five days of peace.

Playing Toronto after the break is a good thing. The Flames will be chasing them in the standings and it will give them good reason to be prepared.
The fear is that after five days off they will come back complacent. A challenge off the hop could be the cure.
