I don't see why they would do this unless there is a move to follow it up pretty soon after.

Just to confirm, on a two-way deal if he clears and is assigned to the taxi squad, does he get his AHL salary, and thus no cap implications until a (hopefully) unlikely recall?

They'll pick a forward and send them to Stockton to make room.

Guessing Buddy Robinson.

If he is on the taxi squad, or in Stockton, there are no cap implications (two way doesn't affect that)

Did they recall Kylington to make room on the taxi squad?

No he was recalled yesterday along with Ryan.

Ryan and Klyington were sent down to the taxi squad again today.

Odd signing for me. Unless its strictly a body for the AHL.

The team has a pretty obvious top 21 ... that won't change.

This is free depth.

How can people have a problem with free depth? It's a serviceable NHL bottom line forward with some bite that will travel with the team on the taxi squad unless they run into injuries or want to shake things up.

After the 5 day rest the Flames have 20 games in 37 days. There will be injuries.

Very happy with this addition to our roster. The tight schedule and the amount of times we play our division opponents, this is a signing that will come in handy for our potential strategic roster flexibility.

No problems with signing because it doesn’t effect our cap space. Not even sure he will play more than a couple of games this year.

I believe Treliving said that both Ritchie and Stone's PTOs expired on the last day of training camp (or first day of the season)
