Victory would be a refreshing change of pace.

Along with a lot of posters here I’m hard on the Monahan Gaudreau effectiveness, so I hope they prove us all wrong and together with Leivo absolutely torch the Canucks.

I would also enjoy seeing Valimaki outshine the young talents on the Canucks roster.

Go Flames!

I like Hamonic more than most on CP, but it’s time to take advantage of him being on their 1st pairing.

I like those lines, as long as Leivo shows more than last game. Maybe Simon will swap with him if needed.

Going to be a great day when we don't have to see Lucic penciled anywhere in the lineup, guy is pretty terrible.

I'm assuming they practiced with the old set to mess with Vancouver?

Otherwise I don't know why you don't walk that out yesterday.

I guess they could have been having an internal discussion about sample size, and do you make a change after just one game?

Either way happy to see it.

Can probably roll those four lines a lot more than the set they used against Winnipeg.

Can’t wait to see the overreactions when lines 2 & 4 still do nothing and Bennett drags down line 3 with his puck hogging, turnovers and plays dying on his stick.

If this happens I guarantee some will say Bennett had a great game but was dragged down by his linemates.

Should we make bets on what time the puck actually drops?

Step in right direction, but not sure what Looch has to do to not sit - hopefully he gets some redemption tonight and proves Ward-o right. I'd prefer Nordstrom in his place, but I guess I get it. Like others have mentioned I'd either prefer a flip flop of Leivo and Dube or Leivo and Bennett if Leivo doesn't show something today.

On the back end only change I'd consider is flipping Hanifin and Valimaki at some point, but not a rush to experiment with that...

Gaudreau-Monahan-Bennett
Mangiapane-Backlund-Leivo
Nordstrom-Ryan-Simon

Yeah, because in the 3rd period Bennett didn’t bring a whole bunch of energy to the 3rd line and wasn’t our leading scorer in the playoffs.

He’s definitely a player who drags down his linemates...

He doesn’t drag down his line mates at any time of the year, but sure, whatever.
