The Flames should offer him a scouting position. I am sure he has a lot of knowledge on the WHL at the moment and is a good assessor of talent.

He could open a garage with one of his former teammates.

Otto Loob.

The name speaks for itself.

Stajan is such a good person, so glad he's going to continue working in hockey. Young kids could learn a lot from this person.

Good to see Stajan sticking around hockey. Always liked him in the media and glad he gets to get behind the bench. One of the good guys in hockey for sure. Hopefully get to see him in the NHL one day.

There used to be an RV dealership in town named Otto Mobiles.

No relation.

In all seriousness though, I wouldn't mind seeing Stajan and Otto swap jobs, with Stajan taking over as Assistant Coach with the Hitmen and Otto joining Sportsnet between periods.

Stajan should be a cautionary tale to those hating on players. For the first few years after he was acquired he was the whipping boy around these parts (and elsewhere). Now he is a fan favorite, proud Flames alumni, member of the community, part of the organization and someone for younger players to look up to. He's a great reminder to keep the pitchforks sharpened but holstered until you really need them.

You mean don't freak out every time and belittle a player because they aren't an all star when they CHOOSE to come to Calgary?

"why don't players want to come here"

This should be really good for the Hitmen. Otto didn't go on the road with the team, hopefully Stajan will, consistency for the team on the road and at home.

Was Otto’s hip injury just degenerative or did something happen?

The only downer with this is that he won’t be on tv during the intermissions as I really liked him / thought he was great at it. Especially taking shots at Francis was always hilarious and then interviews with old teammates was also pretty amusing sometimes.
