Well the one issue is that their Fort Hills mine is unstable and won’t be producing. That’s supposed to produce about 225,000bbl and I think the most it actually has is about half that. The instability and production cut is pretty clearly an issue though.

Bought two stocks today:
TD - in the event of a retreat, I figure this was the most banged up bank stock, so why not pile money in in hopes of a rebound when investors may go to the steady cashflow in time
MSFT - I think with their new OS in a month, and with possibly some acquisitions in the automation space, they're going to continue up and up (probably at a slower trajectory than the past few months, but still).
Missed Lightspeed's run up the past two weeks as I was set on getting them at $115. Too bad.

CBDT - so much hype here... I got sucked in. I'm like -70-80% on a decently large buy.
It only goes one direction.
Worst one on here since Copper Fox Mines

Im with you on the frustration. I am down quite a bit as well, although call me an optimist, I still believe things will turn out. They are opening their first clinics this month and just registered to offer covid testing to texas schools which would be paid for by the government. Obviously, covid wont be a steady revenue generator but it may help with the continual roll out of clinics.
Like they say, you haven't lost a dime until you sell. Although it sucks if you want to invest in other plays.

Its a growth stock. Up and down are expected but easily can be 2 $ if Steve (CEO) keep closing the deals.

Anyone know of any publicly traded hydrogen compression energy storage technology companies? Specifically companies looking for the ones developing the technology, as I think this battery technology has some real promise for large scale grid storage.
The only company I've found, is not listed on an exchange.

SFTW (Blacksky). Merger vote Wednesday. Get in the warrants!!! SFTW.WS Warrants are cheap ($1.30) here and derisked after the vote Wednesday. Palantir has agreed to investing at $10 per share. Blacksky will have access to Palantir clients. Peter Thiel personally is part of the PIPE.
RDW (Redwire). This one is gonna be good. Came in at a low valuation. I have warrants here and they are still relatively cheap.
ADN (Advent). I have a HUGE paper loss here but this will rebound. I haven't sold any of my ADN holding. They just completed a new acquisition of SER Energy and FES. Making all the right moves but being manipulated and shorted. I'm long on warrants and can wait until I'm right. Warrants on super sale right now!
NGCS (Virgin Orbit). Just announced but I will be waiting until closer to the merge date on this one. Dead money until then I think.
Obviously do your own DD. Risk on all plays above but the rewards could be outsized.

Do you stock pickers make out better than index investors(like XUU, XIU) or do people just have a bit of play money to go along with their index funds? I couldn’t imagine stock picking.

80% of my investments are in ETFs.
The rest is in individual names. About half is in dividend names, a quarter in small/mid cap oil and gas, the rest in speculative stocks.
If you can stomach the volatility, owning individual stocks is kinda fun.

If anyone is interested in something other than the usual stuff in here, you might want to take a look at Enveric Biosciences (ENVB), they are on a little bit of a heater and I think there is plenty more there.
They are one of the ponies in the psilocybin race.

Is anyone still holding this? It's basically flat since late 2020, aside from a short run up to $1.00.

Yes, I almost sold on the run-up, but couldn't make my mind up on selling in this, as I was originally planning on selling at $1.5.
The company just seems bad at PR.

So anyone else on the Uranium train these days? The emergence of SPUT has really kicked things into high gear the last few weeks.

Microsoft is one of my larger holdings, they just announced another dividend increase (11%) and share buybacks. I think that makes it 17 years in a row for increases
