Ryu was terrible, again, no question.
But,
When your the top 5 of your line up go a combined 1 for 18, your team has zero chance to win.
I expect a bounce back game today from the whole lot of them and recent history suggests that will be the case. It seems they are just better when they play every day vs getting a day off. I could be dead wrong on that but its the impression i get from it all lately.

Yup, these games will happen and they are few and far between lately. Need your starter to keep it close and give them a chance. Most of the discussion on Ryu is warranted as his 5ER in 2 innings is a lot more par for the course then the Jays batters only mustering 3 runs. Batters are almost due an off night Ryu is due a quality start.

I think this is precisely the biggest issue with Montoyo as a manager, he is still too afraid to make the hard, unpopular decisions. Look at last week and a few other games where Montoyo goes to the mound but ultimately lets the pitcher talk him into leaving him in, which always leads to a dinger the next at bat.
Same thing with continuing to let an injured Springer play. Springer might want to play and argue about it, but he needs to be sitting for at least a week. Guy is ineffective and a popup machine of late. Wasting a DH spot isn't worth the one base hit or home run Springer eventually might get every few games.

I like watching Matz start because he’s the only starter who seems to consistently wear the all-white or all-grey threads.
The blues and powders are cool, but not all the time.
The whites are crisp.

Royal blue ones are worst of the bunch, they still look like spring training jerseys, with either color of pants.

that did not look like a swing to me (Vladdy)
also, is Donaldson going to single-handedly knock us out of the playoffs?

I'm going to be so bummed out when he moves on after this season. I thought Springer was going to be the biggest addition, but Semien has been our second best bat.
Hopefully Springer can have an injury free season next year and fill that void
