It's been a up and down, not a steady decline. Same with the ratings. Apparently TNT is considering anything over 500k a success. With replays and DVR, they're averaging something like 1.6M viewers per week, and generally doing well in the 18-49 demo.
I thought the crowd last night was fairly hot but whatever production was doing with the sound was muffling it.

I've watched it off and on.
My big take away so far is: It's different which is a nice change but I'm not sure it's good yet.
Has some pieces of good WCW, has some pieces of bad WCW, and the booking (especially the ladies and tag division) could use some work.

Ya the ratings are way higher than they need right now, and like you say with replays and DVR it's big.
I do think smaller arenas might be a necessity outside places like chicago, New York, philly etc. At least for now
Like matt said tho, and I know others have mentioned in this thread, womens division is a joke right now, they need some more talent asap. HHH snapped up almost every talented woman for nxt over the next few years, nxtuk women even taking out Rhea is still deeper than AEW.
The storylines I'm not sure of, this has to completely graded on a curve because it's a brand new promotion, but outside the elite and everyone they are feuding with, there arent more than 1 or 2 programs I can think of...
Great matches, and I do like the idea of a rankings in terms of rewarding title matches, but they need to clean that up a bit too
All in all they are way ahead of where anyone could have expected after less than 15 shows.
The director like Dunn is one I hadnt thought of but would help a ton. I wonder if bringing in bischoff even just for a few months to consult on running the tv would help, teach the current guys instead of someone coming to take over

I think Bisch is pretty much done with the wrestling game, at least in terms of some of his post WWE interviews.

Speaking of ratings, Dynamite absolutely slaughtered NXT last night (947k w/ 0.36 18-49 demo point vs. 721k w/ 0.19 demo point).

Sgt Slaughter getting slammed for stolen valor

Its ok to live your character, but to do interviews where he talked about his two tours of duty in Vietnam was ill advised.

I wonder how “fair” these comparisons are.
There is More incentive to watch Dynamite live. Whereas NXT fans are more used to watching that as they please on the Network since that’s how it was before.

It's gone back and forth. In december nxt started to get ahead of dynamite. NXT had a recap show last week though, so aew won big and also promoted this weeks show a lot last week as well, so they were always gonna win this week.
It will likely keep going back and forth for the next few months at least

My point was more that traditional TV ratings don't really tell the whole story.
Really the only way you can watch AEW is cable TV or via PVR. They don't have a streaming option right now.
With NXT you can watch it on USA or PVR it on USA but you know it's still going to be available on the Network the next day anyways.
So more incentive to watch AEW on Wednesday nights, opposed to NXT which is going to be on the Network anyways.

Tessa Blanchard wins the TNA Heavyweight Championship the day after a crap storm over allegations of bullying and racist behavior.

I had pretty much forgotten that TNA was even around. I think the last time I watched it was when they had that feud between Rosemary and Allie and filmed a scene in hell which looked suspiciously like a Fans basement.

So just saw on Twitter that Owens did a wall run into a cannon ball off the stage.
That’s one of the coolest moves I’ve seen in a while.
