Would like to see that game again.
I was in Mexico watching on a phone. It was great.

I would love to see the first ever Flames game in Calgary from October 1980, when we tied Quebec 5-5. It has to be out there somewhere.

Was that also the game Regher injured Hudler in a dirty play? Think it was a slash, might have been a hit.

I found an old DVD of the TSN 2004 Flames season in review. It was originally recorded on VHS, the converted by me to DVD. Not super quality but it brings back great memories. Highlights of every goal in every series.

Times like these I wish the NHL (along with the 3 other major NA sports) would open up some sort of archive. Would it be too much to ask to have something with memorable regular season games and full playoffs? I have to think this will happen one day (at least the playoffs portion). Would be awesome to relive the entire '89 playoffs game by game while also watching other series. That LA/EDM series from '89 was a really good one, and I think I've only ever seen clips from game 7.

I watched a little bit from 2004, but it made me cry, so I stopped watching.

We went to cactus club on Macleod for eats after game 7.

I couldn’t even speak I was so upset.

The big champagne bottle in my fridge remained unopened all summer. Wound up tossing it.

Hooked up the VCR and inside was my recording from Game 6 of the 2004 Stanley Cup Finals. Couldn't watch the game itself but the CBC pre-game coverage was a blast from the past. A slim-looking Kelly Hrudey offering some pre-game analysis. A youthful Elliotte Friedman doing a pre-game interview on the bench with Marty Gelinas. And Heather Liscano belting out the national anthems.

Had to do a bit of searching but I found the "behind-the-scenes" video from the locker room following the game: https://www.facebook.com/NHLFlames/v...3203670598704/

I went down my own YouTube rabbit hole last night. Watched all the clips I could of Habs-Bruins from 1985-1992. Gonna keep going today. It was pretty neat to see how the teams subtlety changed year-to-year. Neely made such a difference to that rivalry. There’s some fantastic moments for each team. Very fun! Next full game with my buddies is gonna be the 2002 Olympics Gold Medal Game.

I had a minor hockey game that day, both teams decided after two periods to just end it (we were tied) and everyone booked home to catch that game. I wish I had that one on DVD. I have the 2010 game, but that 02 game was bananas.

“Joooeeeee SAKiccc!” Bob Cole is the best. Also the Lemieux fake take was one of the best plays I’ve ever seen.

The Caps just emailed me this: https://www.nhl.com/capitals/news/mo...es/c-316234418

I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I think it would be interesting if all the teams did it and they played out an imaginary rest of the season that way. It's pretty awesome that they'll have live PBP from the actual PBP teams for the broadcast.

Haha you could hear it in the goal horn guy, so excited he was just mashing the button a few times probably screaming at the top of his lungs, then remembers "Oh yeah, I'm supposed to be holding the button down"

You weren't asked for your opinion. You might as well go into every chat topic you're not interested in and say: "Hey guys, I don't care about this", I'm sure that would elicit some good back forth, deep discussion and what not, don't you?

It’s funny I was a hockey obsessed kid back then and watched every minute of the playoff run. Yet I hardly can remember anything from the LA or Chicago series. But that game 7 I can still remember where I was on the couch and the chips I was eating when Stan Smyl came in all alone. I don’t remember viewing intensity like that other than the 87 Canada Cup.
