After the road trip would have thought Ramo would have made it, especially ahead of Scrivens.

keep in mind Giordano has been wiped from the list.

Surprised that Wideman is ahead of Brodie.

Isn't this just fantasy rankings? Wideman gets more points, so it makes sense.

These rankings are for fantasy hockey discussions, no?

Shouldn't it be noted this is for Fantasy Hockey?

Lots of PP points for Wideman, which is a key in fantasy.
Plus, since Giordano has been hurt, Brodie is lugging around Engelland - which is dropping his value a lot due to decreased production.

Seeing as this is fantasy rankings, it's perfectly fine.

After the top line and top 4, the next highest producer for the Flames has been Bouma with 28 points. Backlund might be a bit of an omission because of injuries, but he doesn't take many PIM or shots so it's understandable.

Fantasy rankings and actual player rankings are different, obviously.

Wideman is a way better fantasy guy than Brodie, but I'd take Brodie over any Oiler player any day in real life. But on this list he is ranked 182nd. So yeah.

I was killing my pool this year until Kaner & Gio went down, and Rinne was out for like 6 weeks.

Having Eberle ranked ahead of Monahan certainly is a fantasy.

Wideman has been better than Brodie in all aspects IMO, not just points since Gio's injury.

Wideman playing about 28mins a game in the last 5, 6pts, +7. Brodie playing about 23 mins a game, 2 points, -2.

Not sure it's that up hill unless people want to deny the reality of it. The only argument you could make in Brodie's favour is the coach hasn't really asked him or given him the opportunity to step up the way he has with Wideman and Russell, which would be true, but to the point of the thread, even if it is only because the opportunity has been denied, doesn't change the fact that Wideman has been more impressive post Gio injury.

I can't see any way it doesn't continue.
You take your best guy and pair him with the guy who needs to play beyond where he should slot in.
I don't think that's going to change, and I like the strategy.
So Brodie takes the hit - fantasy wise.

Sure, but your missing the point, it doesn't matter why it is, or how long it's been, all I'm saying is Wideman has been better than Brodie, post Gio injury. Not saying anything beyond that. It might entirely be because he's been paired with Engelland (although I do believe this board drastically over rates where Brodie is at the current moment in his development curve because he's a board sweetheart due to his age, game style and playing with Gio has masked some of his opportunities, but that's another matter), but the fact is, over this small sample size, Wideman has outplayed Brodie.
