Lack was very good in Vancouver, I wonder why his play dropped off after leaving

Pretty sure Murphy has sustained a bunch of concussions in his career and unless he blows the door off in camp, he'll probably be fighting with Bart for the #7 spot.

Also it seems like Tre and co. are targeting size with their goalies (both Smith and Lack are 6'4)

What a great trade. Gave up nothing for a decent backup and a potential 5/6 d man. Treliving works the magic again.

That's a great salary for a backup goalie. Hopefully Lack can find his game

With 50% retained and a bottom pairing dman coming back this is a great trade

Not sure Murphy is automatically a 5/6 d-man for us, I think he pushes Bart on that 6/7 role.

It almost looks like the Flames and Canes went diving in each other's dumpsters. But Lack will be a useful piece this season. Decent NHL backup, but if one of Rittich or Gillies takes his spot, no big loss.

Very likeable guy.
Relatively low paid back-up? That's like catnip for Flames fans. I expect "Eddie" chants by Smith's 3rd start in the Saddledome.

Murphy is young RHD with a decent amount of NHL experience who has been brought in to battle Rasmus for the 3rd pair RHD spot. He's a fast skater with offensive and puck moving abilities.

Team is just about set now.

Wait to see if Tre brings in a vet top six forward on UFA day now.

Bart and Murphy on a bottom pairing is scary though.

Treliving must have some big summer holiday plans. This is probably going to be a quiet rest of offseason from this point forward. Nothing left for us to do but speculate until we go crazy.

Was very impressed with Lack when he was a prospect and breaking in with the Canucks. Thought he was going to be a superstar.

Obviously just needs that Jordan Sigalet push to make him that superstar.

Do we have the best GM in the NHL? Great deal.

Seriously Treliving must be a wizard.

Good option for Gillies and Rittich to compete with during training camp.
