I used to think Kenny Rogers was my dad. Or I'd imagine he was and then pretend he was. I tried to grow my hair like his and everything. The only pic I have of me as a kid is a total Farah Fawcett Kenny Rogers hair mash up. The songs, so many of them, are so nostalgic for me now. Sometimes they're really terrifying, like a much too close connection to a strange time. He seems like a really proficient guitarist too.
