Too late for the recommendation, but next time try Cafe 1886 in between Eau Claire market and Sheraton Eau Claire.

Pretty much anything is good, but if you get the hash browns add melted cheese. So good.

Cora's is just the worst.

Bears Den has a great brunch.

Anybody done Nick's? Saw a menu come in advertising their Sunday brunch.

Deers Head Cafe, on Edmonton trail. Yes, the decor and overall look of the place makes it a candidate for Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, but look past that, and you've found a gem.

Unlimited decent coffee, good service, and almost like home-cookin.

I fed myself and my 2 kids for $25 including tip. And none of us could finish the whole meal. My youngest still asks to go back every weekend. That's a sure sign it was great.

Deer Head is still open? Has to be 30 years since I was there.
Still around 34ave? Lots of early( after party ) breakfasts there.
Sorry. I will never speak of this place ever again.

Last time I was at the Deer Head you could still smoke in restaurants. Believe me, patrons took full advantage of it.

Haven't been back since.

Paying over $30 for breakfast for two is ridiculous.

I went for the Sunday brunch once a few years back and it wasn't very good. Not sure if it's gotten any better since then. Still love Nicks, but I doubt I would go back for the brunch.

Whenever I've been hungover and needed a greasy breakfast at 2pm, I've always just hit a Denny's. Don't see the point in trying to fancy up the simplest meal of the day

I like Cadence in Bowness. Excellent coffee. Good portions. Ok price. Lineups usually aren't that long. Sometimes there are table hoggers. People who camp out for a couple of hours with their laptop, drinking bottomless coffee.

Decided to check this place out for the first time. Really good. Had the Bacon, Cheese and Potato one and it hit the spot. Reasonably priced too.

Major bump. I find myself with an unexpected Friday off so figured I'd do a breakfast date with my wife. We're in Mckenzie Towne and have done the Cora's, Diner Deluxe, and Bro'Kin Yoks of the area. Other suggestions? She loves her a good eggs benny.

Thanks for this. Wouldn't mind trying that place but looks like their brunch is only weekends and holidays.

Being self-employed and working from home has some perks... One of which is frequent weekday brunch dates with my wife

Not too familiar with the breakfast scene in McKenzie Towne, but Bro'Kin Yolks is my favourite of the chain / multi-location breakfast joints.

Last time I went to Cora's, I ordered water

Really anything in the south/southeast would work...

Agreed - Bro'Kin Yolk was good - went for the first time a few weeks back.

Blue Star Diner, Namo Bistro, Empire Provisions, Queens Breakfast & Cocktails, Red's is reliable. . . no shortage of really good places for breakfast/brunch.
