I'm not really getting the slow comments at all. I guess it's not an action series if that's the expectation, but neither was most of BB. I've found every episode more compelling from start to finish than I do for just about anything else I've seen recently.

"Well, I guess that's your cross to bear... "
Well, I predicted Jimmy's transformation to Saul to take the whole season but at this rate, he might make it happen by episode 2 or 3! What a brutal comment, to allow Howard to take the guilt.
Great episode and lived up to my hopes. Some who feel the show is too slow will likely feel the same, but I enjoy the story telling part of this show the most.
Loved the scenes of Mike driving around the warehouse doing his job as a security consultant lol. Was wondering the whole time what the hell he was up to. I would watch an entire season of Mike writing people up for safety violations and sternly reminding people to stop whatever it is they're doing and to not get back to it until they have all their safety gear on.

That was a slow-paced show, even for BCS.
Interesting how terrified "Gene" is about being discovered in Omaha.
Also interesting direction to have Chuck's funeral, and not show the funeral. The obit was read over the phone.
Nacho had a very hard time disposing of a tiny medicine bottle.
Mike is getting paid!

Mike making his rounds as security consultant was my favorite part of that episode. He's such a great character.

Yep, this is the first time I've truly disliked the Jimmy McGill character. He'll lose Kim as she's seeing finally there is so little redeeming about him. It's a little bit hard to be empathetic towards Howard as this, I think, is the first time the audience has seen him emotionally exposed, but it was hard not to. Great episode.

I think Jimmy still comes across as a sympathetic character, for now. Kim yelling at Howard this week nicely summed up why Jimmy is so bitter and why his anger/coldness is justified. Unfortunately I think it also signals that Kim’s sympathy for Jimmy is gonna be her downfall because he’s only gonna get worse, not better.
The photocopy sales job interview was interesting. Jimmy fully self destructing. He’s so self hating that he doesn’t want to work for anyone stupid enough to hire him? Punishing himself because something went his way for once?

That was a top episode.
The best acting I have seen so far from Odenkirk and Seehorn. Jimmy was terrific in getting and refusing the sales job. Kim was excellent in blasting Howard. Also, the first visible scene of passion between them? Kim seems willing to follow Jimmy to the end.
Gus was ruthless from the shadows. Nacho's father is heartbroken what has become of his son. Mike didn't have much to do this week, but I really like Lydia as a character.
Did Jimmy steal the figurine, or is he trying to get Mike to do it?

Jimmy wants Mike to get it, and one other person. If you watched the "next week on" it was in that.
I keep wondering what happens between Jimmy and Kim. Whatever it is is going to be pretty major, whether she dies, goes to prison because of him, or just has enough and takes off to Flin Flon.

Seeing Kim just rip into Howard after he dressed her down in S1 was so satisfying.

Better Call Saul - New TV Series 2014
I am still not entirely convinced anything needs to happen to Kim. I don’t think Jimmy/Saul would be ignorant enough to parade around Kim in the BB world, and we didn’t see his home life enough to know that he wasn’t married or anything.
It’s still possible as BCS wraps up we see Eugene reunited with Kim.

Why would Mike bother with a small job like that?

I get how people can see this show as slow; BCS is certainly into the low burn territory right now. However, every little detail or small piece seems important. It rarely shows something you don't need to see.
Then rewards like the Kim/Howard exchange, Jimmy sabotaging himself and plotting, Gus pushing Nacho into a corner.
Last season was built as a battle of brothers and the downfall of Chuck. There is far more uncertainty, or maybe more rather openness to this season. I can't wait to see where they go with it.

I'm really glad I gave the show another chance because I'm really enjoying it. It's not as good as breaking bad but that's such a high bar how can I show live up to that? I really love the Kim character and I feel like their breakup is inevitable or she will die. That will be a hard episode to watch because I love her and she's so good for him, it's sad to see how far Jimmy has fallen. And that's what makes the show so great

good start to the season.
Kim blasting Howard was great. Who would have thought that after Skyler, Marie and Lydia, the writers not only get a female character right, but knock it out of the park like that? Please don't kill her

There was nothing wrong with any of those characters you named, but I agree that Kim is another great character. And given Gilligan and Company's history of keeping it raw and real, I worry about her fate...a lot.

Did Jimmy ever get the money from the class action lawsuit? For some reason I thought he did, but maybe not if he's still looking for work.

Chuck must have had a big estate as a senior law partner, but he left very little to Jimmy. Will Kim ever show him Chuck's letter?
