Philips picked up a goal. His team seems to have finally scoring goals he wasn't involved in points wise

Dube highlights from his last 2 games where he scored 4 nice goals (didn't realize how deadly his wristshot is). Apparently his nickname is the Golden Jet from the play-by-play haha.

Goals at 1:09 and 2:13

Phillips and Valimaki are going head to head tonight.

Still in the first, Victoria is losing 2-1. Phillips with a goal, Valimaki with an assist.

Valimaki may be one of the most underrated D prospects. Every game he seems to produce or is one of the 3 stars.

Since the first it's been all Victoria. Now 6-2 after 2.

Phillips has 2G and 1A.

Final score was 7-3. Phillips ended with 2G, 1A, +3 and 1st star.
Valimaki had 2A.
Zach Fischer had 2G and 1A tonight in a 7-0 Spokane win, nice to see.

edit: Fischer was also first star.

Craig Button's projected Team Canada WJC roster:

He has Phillips making the team over Owen Tippet which is interesting. Some would say Tippet's pedigree and the fact he stuck around for 7 games with the Panthers would give him an edge.

I went to watch Ruzicka today. Sting won 5-4, Ruzicka got a tip in today and was on the ice for the first 2 PP as well. I watched him, he was kinda useless out there. He didn't really do much, looked like he was bored. Which is odd considering he was standing on the bench the entire time. But when he did try, he was good. That one shift he had, he drew a penalty. Other then that, he looked out of place and not in the game.

Swift Current going all in acquiring Gennaro and Malenstyn from the Hitmen in a blockbuster trade.

Having the best line in the WHL (Heponiemi-Steenbergen-Gawdin) and adding 2 of the best forwards from the Hitmen gives the team crazy scoring depth.

Poised to go deep in the playoffs.

Our OHL and QMJHL prospects had the night off, but our WHL guys had some activity:

Victoria lost 3-2 to Swift Current, Gawdin named first star with a goal, 7 shots (tied for 3rd in WHL with 48pts in 25g). Phillips was held pointless, despite his 9 shots.

Chiefs beat Blades 6-2, Zach Fischer with a goal. (17 pts in 18g, with 47PIMS)

Kelowna beats Prince George 5-3, Dube 2nd star with a goal and an assist, plus-3, 8 shots. (31pts in 23g)

Junior action for Dec 1:

Sarnia lost to North Bay 3-2, nothing for Ruzicka-he's on a slide lately, tied now for 11th in league scoring with 34pts in 27g.

Chicoutimi beat Baie-Comeau 4-0, obviously no pts for Joly.

Medicine Hat beat the Royals 4-3, nothing for Phillips. Interestingly enough, Mark Rassell was 1st star-he was an invite to this year's camp. 19th in the league with 35pts in 26g, including 25goals.

Kelowna beat the Chiefs 4-2, Dube was second star with a goal and an assist. Fischer had a goal.

Swift Current beats Moose Jaw 7-6, Gawdin was 3rd star with 2 goals and 2 assists, which gives him one point more on the night than his linemates Steenbergen and Heponiemi. 52pts in 26g

Valimaki is still injured.

D'Artagnan Joly had 2 primary assists on 2 short handed goals in a 4-3 loss to Sherbrooke. Highlights Both SH goals start around the 0:38 mark. Great efforts by Joly to create them.
19gp 9g 10a 19pts -5.

No points -2 for Ruzicka. Sarnia went up 6-0 and choked away the game and lost 7-6 in OT.
Ruzicka is in a slump. Only 3 goals in his last 8 games.
28gp 17g 17a 34pts +3
