I know it's not fair to bring it up after Schenn got to feed on the bottom-tier Oilers but with 30 points in 22 games, he's fourth in scoring.
Lehtera has 2 points in 14 games and still has another year after this at 4.7M.
Flyers need to hope Frost and whoever they get next year end up working out as this trade is looking like a slaughter at this point.

I was wondering didn't I just see Schenn score on the Oilers last night?

He's had unreal chemistry on that line.
As awesome as it was to the see the Oil get rag-dolled last night, it allowed Schenn to pull up closer to Johnny in points.
Hopefully Gaudreau keeps up the scoring tonight to keep pace / pull away.

I felt STL had a great offseason and it was primarily because of this trade as well as the trade with Pittsburgh:
Ryan Reaves and the 51st overall pick (a second round pick) to the Pittsburgh Penguins for the 31st overall pick (final pick of the first round - Klim Kostin) and Oskar Sundqvist.
Klim Kostin was the highest ranked Euro draft eligible but the Russian factor caused him to slip to the very end of the 1st Rd.
They came out like bandits IMO. It's no wonder they continue to cycle young drafted talent into their lineup.

But yet they have Bouwmeester, which means it's guaranteed they will never win a cup.

Seemed like the price was far too steep at the time but the early returns have this looking like the Blues fleeced the Flyers.

Amusing stat from the trade that I heard this morning. Schenn has more goals (10) than Lehtera has shots (8).

Funny, although I thought he played really well against the Oil last night. Was even a little physical.

The trade didn't make a lot of sense at the time. It makes even less now.

Or we can wait and see what PHI does with the picks and extra cap space?

Lehtera has a smaller cap hit, and one less year on his contract. One year left after this season.

By 400,000.
And Schenn (front loaded) is being paid less than his cap hit by the Blues while Lehtera (back loaded) will be paid more than his cap hit by the non-cap-ceiling Flyers, so there's not like there's any significant extra cap space until the 2020 season. In which case, any team in the league would like to have this version of Schenn at 5.1M.
As it stands now, the Flyers traded a top 5 point producer for two very late firsts and a cap dump with massive negative value. Things could just as easily quickly change, but it's looking like a terrible trade today.

Way too early to tell. Schenn needs to maintain this pace and the two firsts need to amount to very little for this to be a bad trade.
It looked good on Philly’s end at the start, looks a little more up in the air now, but definitely not a terrible trade today. Hard to even say if Schenn has the season he’s having now while carrying the weight on that Philly team.
Way to many what-ifs, but so far this trade is working out just fine for the Blues.

It won't matter until they fire the head coach, he is absolutely terrible.

I'll admit I was completely wrong about the Blues. I thought they had reached their peak and were nothing more than Tarasenko with a bunch of average players. Instead they are getting solid goaltending and defence, Schwartz looks like a star, and the Schenn trade was a steal. I'm sure they will find a way to choke but the Blues are definitely looking like cup contenders at the moment.

Schenn is an interesting comparable for Bennett IMO.
Both touted as physical centers with skill and an edge, but it didn't really click for either of them right out of the draft.
Shows how much impact fit and opportunity can have on a player.
