Default Custom 3D printed photos (lithophanes)

*post pre-approved by ken0042*

I recently got into 3D printing and would like to help y'all complete some xmas shopping.

Lithophanes are 3D printed pieces of thin plastic that allow light to shine through in a way that an image appears. They will be customized with your photo of choice. Please be aware that the best results are with photos that look good in black&white.

Examples (these are my photos I personally printed, not online examples):

Pricing (Nov 14, 2021):
up to 4x6 photo with attached stand: $25
up to 5x7 photo with attached stand: $35
Night light (includes plug-in, bulb, frame attachment, and small photo up to 48mm*48mm (1.9" x 1.9"): $15
Other sizes: please contact

Other options available, but my customization skillset is quite limited now so it may not be able to make your product.

Product will take 3-4 days to complete.
Pick up only: NE by the airport.
$10 of cost due upon order confirmation before printing will begin on each item ordered (e-transfer)
Contact: yyclitho@shaw.ca

I'm open to answering any questions you may have about this in this thread; keep questions here since they may be common to others. Orders can go to my email above.

*disclaimer*
I am not a proprietary owner of this technology.
I am just using free software to create this.
The fee I am charging is for my time, my equipment, my materials, and other overhead.
As these are custom prints, the $10 deposit is to cover the material overhead in the case that you don't pick up the final product since your customized print will be useless to me.

Doesn't seem like there's much interest...

They look really neat and the pricing seems more than fair, dude. Not something I need, but the product is great. Hopefully you get some business.

This is probably one of the lesser-visited sub-forums, which probably isn't helping. Maybe throw this in the Makers thread, too?

Have you thought of making these for christmas tree decorations? Have them clip onto a bulb, or even like a box that fits overtop or something, would be neat maybe.

As an ornament, I'm not sure what's a viable light source...
Also as I said, my modeling skills are still in progress so I'd rather stick with things I've worked out successfully so far.
