So are Kreider's days numbered in NY? He's a good player but they need LW room. But he's just extended for 7 years at $6.5, with NMCs every year. Or do you move Buchnevich, who's in a contract year next year and play Krieder on the offwing (like Buchnevich was doing)? Or move Buchnevich to the third line and psuh Gauthier or Mckegg out?

Panarin-Zibanejad-Kreider
Lafreniere-Strome-Kakko

is a pretty strong top 6 with a lot of upward potential on the second line.

I'm okay with the Flames picking 31st.

I would run with :

Laffy-Zibanejad-Panarin
Krieder-Strome-Kakko

Lafreniere is the real deal and is already a great all around player. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he got top line minutes right away.

I predicted that the Rangers will win the lottery. Again, the opportunity is so obvious for Bettman and his cronies to gift the 1st overall pick to the hometown team.

Anyways, I am so glad that none of the Canadian teams won it.

Maybe, but Panarin is maybe the top LW in the game right now, and to my knowledge has never played right side. Do you mess with that?

Have to think that if the Flames do look to move Johnny, the Rangers just fell off the map as a potential landing spot for him.

In his mock draft, Pronman says he has heard centers Zary, Lundell, and Holloway mentioned with the Flames.

By which I assume, he means he is hearing the Flames have significant interest in those 3.

He also says he wouldn't be surprised if they took a big swing at Hendrix Lapierre.

If Lundell falls to us it should be a no Brainer. I am also a zary fan.

The razor thin line that was between getting Lafrieniere and giving up the pick to carolina and having no first.

I love Lundell but I don’t think he’s there at 19...

I’d say we have a better shot at Bourque.

I'd bet my house on the kid picked getting labeled a budding superstar up there by the next training camp. Ignoring the fact that they've had a 20% success rate to date picking in the mid teens.
