Bummed there's no Flames prospects on team Canada.
Looking forward to seeing Coronato in probably a significant role for the States.

When these tournaments happen I'm cheering for Flames prospects. Canada will do fine regardless.
That being said, maybe Team Canada players need to have mandatory ankle-bracelets and body-cams 24/7 at this point.

Guhle, Power, Bourgault, Bourque, Guenther, Neighbors, Perfetti, Sourdif, Wright were all on the December but not on the roster for the Summer.
I think all of them are skipping the tournament so they can prepare for NHL camps.

Guenther was injured during the WHL playoffs and is currently rehabbing and training with the Coyotes down in Arizona.

Apologies for not paying attention, but why is this tournament being played in the summer? The WJC is a Christmas break tradition, sleep off the turkey, catch up with drunk uncles, drink some rum and eggnog and watch some hockey.

It's Team Canada all the way for me.
Now, if they hadn't had a change of leadership with the investigation, I would take a year off. And I'm not even blaming Renney, it's just something you have to do given the magnitude.
Leadership was changed, practices were changed, it's being taken seriously, I'll be cheering.
the Flames prospects come second for me and I'm really wondering how the Flames have missed out on so many Canadian prospects considering a generational player just came out of our own back yard.

Scott Smith, the current guy in charge, has been with Hockey Canada since 1995, and has been heavily involved at the executive level since 1998. He's still in charge.

Should be. This is just the one from past winter that was postponed during COVID.
The 2023 is supposed to take place as scheduled, starting December 26, 2022, in Moncton and Halifax - or at least I can't find anything that says its not.

None of my team's prospects are playing for Canada but I'll always cheer for Canada; I don't understand cheering against my country.
