This week, the teams travel to Toronto and go shopping at Marshalls. Product placement is cool. Then, they all get on the same train, so the shopping trip was completely meaningless.

The three COVID teams return, but only two get to keep racing.

Next week, the teams travel to Prince Edward County, ON (not to be confused with Prince Edward Island) and face a double-elimination.

I figure they should have let all the teams go and have a head start, while the other 3 sorted themselves out. But with it being non-elimination, I guess none of it mattered.

It's weird we are, what, 5 episodes in and only 2 teams gone?

Fast forwarded through most of the episode... pretty boring. teams are way too nice.

I dunno what it is this race, but I'm really not feeling it. It just doesn't feel like there are any stakes. Kinda feels like I'll watch and next week they'll announce 2 different teams out with Covid and back in 2 episodes.

I am mildly amused, as the streak/trend continues: "I'm an actress..." - Fails mo-cap challenge so hard they have to Express Pass it...

The problem is, the travel really forces them to reset at the end of every leg. They all seem to need to be on the same bus, or train, or flight. It never feels like there is much momentum to anything. And the challenges have mostly been mediocre.

Yeah. Everybody definitely hates them.
Included real open hostility from Franca and Nella. Turning the double delay into slowing down my girls only. Pretty smart, and nasty.
I assume we see more of this hostility ahead, which is good.

I like the fight. This is a race for money. There should be no helping other teams and it should be every team for themselves. Fight it out and if you get stuck you get stuck. I want to see people struggle through challenges. Happy with how Franella are doing though.

I'm trying to remember what Betty & Veronica did to piss everyone off. I can only remember them asking other teams for help...but everyone does that (I'm kinda with brocoli on this...)

Not surprised to lose Cedric and Tychon, though kinda surprised it took this long.

Jahmeek...seems like the kind of cool guy you'd love to have beer with, but doesn't seem to have a competitive bone in his body.

I think it's the kind of help they expect. They don't work with the other teams, for example, to find a clue box, but then when they get to a task that they can't figure out, they want another team to show them how.

Of the remaining teams, I cannot stand these two. They are good at certain tasks, but not great at others. And when they get behind, they get so whiny. And while they seem to always want help, I've never noticed them offering it.

Craig and Catherine also annoy me with their acting/singing/dancing. It also bugs me that they seem to think the other teams owe Catherine a chance to complete the whole race because she has cancer.

This episode really seemed to favour those who already knew some sign language.

Re Betty and Veronica. I had grown tired of their act, but to have every other team conspire to oust them has me back on board with the unlikable underdogs. To inspire that much dislike from your fellow competitors is impressive.

That really surprised me, too. When they first told us about this challenge, I thought it was really gonna be interesting...and then half the teams knew sign language in some way, two Express Passed it, and...what looked to be an interesting challenge is barely a blip.

In the previous episode, at the mat, Craig talked about Court and Ali saying if they were the last two teams, C&C should get the final spot, so Catherine could stay in the race. I admit though, that the comment could have been producer-driven.

I just don't like the idea that the team with the best "feel good" story should win these shows.

Was annoyed with the Betty and Veronica but now want them to win with all the other teams ganging up on them.

The only team i don't want to see win are the super annoying sisters.

Also nice to see all the express passes used up especially on such an easy challenge.

They had to use the Express Passes by the end of this episode, which is why they both used them on the final task.
