I think he could become a 30 point, third line type of guy in the NHL, should have gotten more of a look here IMO.

I would not be too worried about this. Gawdin is a fine AHLer, but I would be very, very surprised if he turned into much in the NHL.

Really?

He stagnated in the AHL and never showed anything in the NHL. Classic average tweener.

He will carve out a nice little role in Anaheim.

I don’t even need much. I just want drafted players/prospects to want to stay here and fill roles.

Similar to Derek Grant’s career trajectory, as a best case scenario?

I doubt that. What in his game did you see that makes you think he'll pop at age 25?

Why? We have better prospects and he cant skate.
There’s a reason the Blues gave up on him.

20+ teams were interested?
I wonder if the Flames were one of them or if he gave us the cold shoulder after we buried him for so long.

He's a Buddy Robinson. Can light up the AHL, but probably tops out as a 4th liner in the NHL.

I don't see it. He's 25 and has played a grand total of nine NHL games to date. The team that drafted him didn't even give him a contract. To me, he just looks like one of those guys who top out as really good career AHLers, but don't have anything special to bring to the show.

Like with Austin Czarnik, a bit of a bidding war with teams looking for organizational depth.

A tweener who can fill a leadership role on the farm with an occasional call-up.

Gawdin is a tweener, just doesn't have the speed or talent to generate offense in the NHL.

Good luck to him though.

I am just trying to calculate how many teams are actively trying to tank hard...
