Yeah....thats the problem and why they and mainstream science cant co-exist.
If you just cannot accept that your initial philosophy is conclusively incorrect and move along then you just 'cant even.'
In the words of Neil DeGrasse Tyson: "Thats the thing about science...its still true, whether you believe it or not."
Also that they are so far in and have alienated themselves from those subscribing to conventional science that they can't go back. The doc talks about how that now it's becoming a widespread thing, they are getting funding, which means they are conducting their own independent studies and experiments.
As this happens, even within the documentary (gyroscope, light beam experiment), they are discovering the universal truths we already know. They are slowly finding out they are wrong, but there is no way back.
They're separated from mainstream society, and if they flip they will be shunned (hard) by other flat-earthers. So it's either fully commit to something false and have belonging, or go back to nothing. It's why they simply can't accept any evidence that proves them wrong.
It's just kinda...sad, really.

"Girl" was an interesting Belgium film. Slow, but the actor who played the "Girl" probably should have won a ton of awards, but as usual if you have to read subtitles it won't get attention here. The interesting part was if this film was made in the US or Canada it would be completely different. Kind of shows how far behind we are in certain social aspects, or how advanced Belgium/Europe is, nonetheless, it had an arthouse type feel. There were shocking parts of the film, but the most shocking to me was the things that they didn't find shocking/surprised if that makes sense without giving away anything. If you like arthouse films you should check it out.

Love, Death and Robots is pretty great. Stunning animated short films. All animated in different styles. Black Mirrorish in that the stories aren't connected and set in the future. It's a hard R though so don't watch it with the kids.
sort of reminds me of the old graphic magazines, Heavy Metal... looks interesting, looking forward to it
thanks to those mentioning F1...
i used to be a huge fan, but went away from it because Schumacher was so good i guess... but the behind the scenes stuff is really compelling.... have enjoyed it a lot so far

Just a mention for anyone that's a fan, Clone Wars will be ending its run on Netflix on April 7th in case anyone wants to run through and watch their favorite episodes again.

Yep it's definitely influenced by Heavy Metal. Some of the animation is amazing.
'The Dirt' will be released March 22. Probably not going to be an Oscar nominee or anything but I'll watch it as someone who grew up listening to Mötley Crüe.

Just started The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann about the disappearance in Spain of a three-year-old girl. It’s a heart-breaking story. I’m kind of liking it but eight episodes seems about three or four too many. Notable that the parents refused to be interviewed or take part in any way. They felt it might impede the investigation.

This series is un-freaking-real. I love this, SO MUCH. Amazing, sky rocketed to my top 3 TV series of all time.

I was a big Crue fan as a teenager and I really hope they did a good job on this.
I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Not really a big racing fan, but now I am planning to follow it more and watch an upcoming race or two.
It's a terrific sport. Congrats, you're going to get hooked. Those cars are so fast they're like fighter jets that don't fly. Including the G forces the drivers are subject too
The Netflix series did a good job. Especially starting with an episode largely on Danial Riccardio. Gotta be the most likeable guy in the sport
