How would we handle the entry draft when two more teams are added back into the league?

I would imagine we do how the NHL does it. Which I am a little fuzzy on how it works but didn't Seattle get the 3rd best odds in the lottery or something?

Last time it widened it.

I kindly request that if an expansion happens that my team can relocate from this ####hole and move to my family’s second home of Winnipeg and Edmonton can be one of the expansion teams

I'm all for contracting Edmonton, if only for the delicious passive aggressiveness of it.

Totally agree, relegate the Oilers to the AHL

I'm all for expansion if we are confident that it won't create too much turnover in GM's. I have been in this league for 6 months and we've had a couple GM's quit. I'm not sure what the turnover was like before but if we think we can keep 30 or 32 active GM's I'm all for it.

My vote would be 2 teams next summer, see how it goes and potentially do another expansion in a few years? 4 teams at once might be a bit much.

How? It adds an additional element, but that's no different than if you were an actual GM.. And we only spend minutes a day on this forum, some less.

The difference is checks and balances. You didn't have the vast majority of checks in place then, as you do now. Have faith in your own rules.

The rules help but my belief is that major factor is the relationship between the number of NHL assets and CPHL assets. If you have more of the former, it helps asset distribution in the latter.
It impacts all the ways that teams acquire players: the draft (our draft has less picks than rounds than the NHL, so there are more better prospects to go around), prospect signings, trades, and free agency,

You dilute all of that. And that will be the most material thing that harms asset distribution. Checks and balances won't be sufficient.

I'm a new GM, so my opinion is not as informed as others, but I am somewhat opposed to expansion as I believe it will dilute the asset pool. That said: I am enjoying the discussion here and am open to hearing more opinions (with my final vote still up for grabs).

I would love to see Boston & Winnipeg in the CPHL; relocate Arizona already! Back to Winnipeg, haha! CLB or Florida maybe as well?

That's an option. I would love for Columbus to relocate to Boston.

If we want Winnipeg and Boston back in I'm pretty sure we can find a path. Would require a combination of a little bit of work for me in the sim (easy) plus some unknown work from Jon and Cam on the site. But I suspect doable b/c we are just changing the name.

I like Arizona to Winnipeg
And then ?? to Boston (CBJ or Nashville)

I'm all for relocating one or two teams, if possible. Not having the Bruins in the league does feel a bit weird, and bringing back the Jets makes sense too.

I would happily move out of Ottawa to do the Bruins... run that organization right into the ####ing ground and feel the greatest sense of schadenfreud I've ever felt.
