Blues winning the Stanley Cup and ending their cup drought would twist the knife even deeper into Leafs Nation's tortured psyches. I like it.

2nd Dougie penalty was BS. The elbow was dumb though, ref had a perfect view.

Bergeron runs a guy from behind worse than Staal did, no call. Bruins get away with a ton - remind me of the Ducks in a way that they are willing to take a few penalties because they know they won't get called on everything.

And would make Vancouver the oldest expansion team without a Cup.

That's how the original six roll.

welp... Bruins were able to find their game after the 2nd intermission... the two power plays helped obviously.

Credit to Rask too; i thought Carolina was going to run away with it in the second...

Seeing the replay of that “penalty”, the refs should clearly never be allowed to ref a game again, at any level.

Oh please. NHL officials being NHL officials sunk Carolina. That 2nd penalty call on Hamiltion needs to be reviewed by the league as for weeks players have been allowed to mug and take liberties with players and they call that after already calling successive penalties on the same team? That stinks.

That's Eric Furlatt. Absolutely loves having an effect on the game.

This. The games in the playoffs are always called more favourably for any original 6 team. It has been that way as long as I can remember.

Not to discredit the Hurricanes for being the better in that series but I think that's a tale of a pop gun offense finally catching up to the Islanders.
