Elias Petterson is the odds on favourite to win the Calder this year he is going to put up a lot of points specifically on the powerplay.
I'm so glad hockey is back and really excited about the team this year. It should be a great season barring some serious injuries.
5-2 Flames tonight
Lindholm, Dube, Monahan, Dube, Jankowski (EN)

TBH I think Ottawa's roster looks better but they do have more off-ice distractions. Craig Anderson alternates good and bad seasons and he's due for the good one

I expect the Flames to come out and assert their dominance tonight. And on paper that should be everyone's expectation.
Something tells me they feel really confident in that dressing room and are primed to get this thing going.

Do not under-estimate Petterson. Dude is going to be a star in this league.
Boeser and Petterson (with Horvat) is the start of a good lineup. Fortunately for us Flames fans, the Canucks have Jim Benning to fill the rest of the lineup with Beagle's, Rousell's, and Del Zotto's.

I like your optimism, but Smith is good for at least one stinker, likely from him overplaying the puck

Reporters might fly in game day, but 99% of the time teams fly in the day before a game.

I've been burnt out on the Flames and the NHL for a couple of years now - but there's a small, legitimate feeling of excitement in me this morning. I may just check this out, see if I can carefully cultivate this enthusiasm.

I won't be doing an animation or photo for every game this season (I don't have the time, energy, or prop budget sadly), but what's there will be fun!
