Haha, the "little bitches" comment didn't throw me off at all. I agree, but I just think it's poor planning to have the league running on that kind of schedule. I'll be there and I'll be buying my tickets when the window opens, but I think that Resolute is right; if it's -15 only hardcore fans are coming and that's a missed opportunity for the club.
I always had fun getting bundled up for stamps playoff games in really cold weather but I also understand why it would turn a lot of people off. I just hope that the place is rocking no matter what the weather is doing.
I wonder if the CPL could negotiate a friendship tour for some mid-level European club to come to Canada to play some friendlies vs CPL clubs. Cavalry beat Whitecaps, so who knows.
Someone with some name recognition, but that won't kill a CPL club 10-0. Someone like Rangers, Club Brugge, Feyenoord, etc.

North American pre-season tours are getting popular with European clubs. I could see it happening eventually. The only downside is that it would fall mid-season for the CanPL clubs, but whatever - rotating the squad and giving some guys some time in a friendly is never a bad thing.
I actually travelled to Portland to see Norwich play the Timbers a few years ago, so you'll get a lot of curious locals, some fans from the visiting club, ex-pats from various places, etc. Definitely a good idea that should happen eventually.
So has the parking at Spruce Meadows improved? Going to the game on Sunday and since I am not drinking would prefer to drive since I live in the Northwest.

Any suggestions?
The parking is fine, especially if you get there 30 minutes before the match. It hasn't been a problem for us once, but we normally come in from the west.

The parking is fine internal to the grounds, but we're at the mercy of Stoney Trail construction. Which could be fine, or which could put the highway down to one lane.
Generally, I just park at Somerset and take the shuttle in.

The game is actually on Sunday, just a heads up. Bus leaves 90 minutes before kickoff. So 12:30 for Sunday. The only other time we had a bus on a Sunday it was not full, so you should be okay.
Small correction here. The bus leaves at 12. Kickoff is 1:30 tomorrow.

Fun time today in 202. Some good laughs and heckling.
Escalante has to be the most frustrating player ever. He has loads of talent and is just so good...but honestly the guy can seemingly never finish. I know he got two today, so my comment seems way out of line with that, but the first one was the epitome of "whipped cream on dog ####" and just pure luck. The second was remarkable and maybe the goal of the year. In between he missed the easiest goal ever and I have no idea how. Unfortunately, that's more of what we get from him it seems. And today, which is out of character, he had the first touch of a trampoline!
Before anyone dives on me here, I love Escalante. I think he's so good and does some things the team desperately needs. It's just the ongoing frustrations I can't figure out.
