With that said, here's hoping the Flames kick ass and take names tonight.

GFG.
I understand to stoic nature of your posts, but it also displays a decades of being a fan of a mediocre team who is used not to have high standards and expectations. The best separates themself from the rest by not being satisfied with their success and always strive to be better and focus on mistakes rather than overlooking them because the whole picture looks somewhat good.

It truly is winter coast to coast to coast. Could be the coldest winter month Canada wide in a long time. Flames have to continue keeping us toasty warm. Burn down Rogers Arena with a 5-2 win. GFG! I'd love to see see Neal pop one or two into the net tonight. Reward him afterwards with a night out at the Roxie.

Going to the game tonight. First live game since I moved to Vancouver in 2016. Sporting my Bourqe jersey with no shame whatsoever. Go Flames Go!

Honestly, if you can't enjoy the best season in most Flames fans' lifetime, maybe you need a break from CP.

Relax, enjoy the season.
I don't know, there wasn't a meltdown when you posted what you did. There was one negative post. But I understand your feelings on the matter.

I wish in general we could all be a little less negative, be it of players or fellow fans in the CP community.

Flames' website has Rittich as the projected starter, so I guess everyone calms down now? Frankly, I like the excitement that Smith brings to the game with the way he handles the puck. I also think that he's trying to pioneer an entirely new style of goal-tending that is less reliant on dropping down to cover the bottom of the net at every turn. It's also less reliant on standing tall enough to cover the sharp angle, top corner shot by pressing his shoulder to the post. Overall, sort of a hunchback/positional/aggressive puck handling type of thing. There is no book on it, so if he perfects it in time for the playoffs, the Flames are golden!

As for tonight's game, Flames post a gem after Thursday's clown shoes affair. 6 for the good guys, 1 for the Canucks, because of course Pettersson scores.

Go Flames Go!

I hope the flames get back to playing their game, in spite of winning, they weren't playing great even before the asg break.

First off, get off your highhorse.

My response had nothing to do with panicking and not enjoying the season. It had everything to do with posting like your opinion is above anyone elses. It was prematurely jumping on people.

I've enjoyed this season quote a bit, thank you very much. You're not enjoying the season more than I am.

Put Smith in. He should be playing the garbage teams.
This should be an easy win for the flames. The Canucks have lost 4 straight and are starting to drop off from the pack. They should settle in a lottery pick position as predicted at the start of the season!

Lol, there are Canuck fans on that other board that are saying Pettersson is going to be the GOAT by the time his career is over. You can't make this stuff up folks. Oh look, Canuck fans getting obnoxious and ridiculous again, who would have thought.

The Flames are in first place IN FEBRUARY, need six or seven wins to clinch a playoff spot, and have the cap space to potentially add a big piece at the deadline. All due respect to y'all, but everyone calm down a bit. :P

The Flames were playing great the last game. However, you can't give one of the best teams 2 points that early in the game, run into a hot goalie, and expect to win.
