Svensson shoots 66 to have the clubhouse lead. Might get caught by the final group. WINS IN A PLAYOFF!
Disco Stu struggled with a 75 for a T22

Excellent tourney in Austin. Love the match play format. The big guys just couldn't get through, it's a whole different dynamic.
I think a lot of the stars rely on that methodical, calculated round of golf and make uncharacteristically desperate shots when playing head to head, and then get in their own head.
Love watching putting especially where players mostly need to make them to tie and don't care if they go ten feet past in their attempt.
Probably also favours the mid field a bit where losing the handle on a hole while going for it results in a lost point and not a tournament destroying triple or quadruple bogey.
Its great having fans back, but man I don't miss the attempts to make a loud, benign statement every time a golfer shoots. "Get in the HOLE!!!!". Shut the **** up.
I wasn’t paying close attention but was there not a single birdie in that final pair? Conditions were difficult for sure but neither guy played very well.
"Obviously there's something in the bag this week that's very helpful," he said Tuesday. "I won't go into specifics of it. But just know this has been a few years in the making, and I'm very excited for it. Whether it helps me perform at a higher level, I'm not sure, because it's golf and you never know what happens.
It will be interesting to see. I remember last year how Bernard Langer who hits a drive like 250 yards...posted a better score than the guy crowing about it only being a par 68 course. Granted Bryson was still learning the limits of his new Body Suit at the time...so I guess we see what he's been doing with it the past few months to go after Augusta.
I still love the 12th hole at this course. You can pump your body full of every supplement on the planet...and still have a miserable time on that hole. It's entirely about shot execution and placement and you can't outhit any pitfals.

Obligaroy repost of the side angle we don't get to see much

Although, as talked about last year that while this view gives a great look at the drop offs, it is also a little deceiving in making the green look much smaller than it is, with that narrow lens view.
The 12th at Augusta doesn't need any help looking intimidating!

The Green is less than 15 yards wide at it's thickest point, so I'm not sure how much narrowing is occurring.
