Yep, and not just the crazy things like that. I just couldn't stand the idea of so many snakes and spiders with painful to deadly bites roaming around.
Like how those people just roam around swampy areas in the American south with Cottenmouth snakes perched in wait, ready to strike if you come within a few feet. Not for me man.
Like you said, I'd rather just deal with ing predators that will mostly dart away or act indifferent to a big male than small things all around that can inflict pain and possible death. Its the not knowing for me.

That's how the homebuilders did our laundry room.
When the drain hose "burped" / backfired it went into towards the unsealed baseboards and down one wall. sigh... Thankfully it wasn't much. Now I've run a bead of silicone around the baseboards/lino so it'll hopefully direct the water as it should.
