Well, let's see if Bennett will start to show up with his potential. It's either he'll choke or he'll jack up his value for a big trade this summer.

My expectations are low. Very little progression with him from his rookie season to now. Sucks. He needs to seriously bulk up in the summer, the amount of times he gets pushed off the puck is ridiculous. Needs to go Tkachuk’s training program

Any idea on WHAT the surgery is? I have heard rumors of shoulder, and if it is labrum (which is what i am guessing), that is a 4-6 month recovery.

If that is the case, he might not even be ready for next season.

It also makes him tough to trade, if that was on the table.

Given the fact that he is being given injections daily, it has to be joint/ligament connected.

I think your observation of a labrum injury could be accurate and I have a feeling it may be both hip and shoulder that need to be done. It could also be one of those and a knee injury as well. When you think about the training for a hockey player, this could be a VERY challenging off-season if he is dealing with both injuries. I am dealing with a hip labrum injury myself and it's hell.

Regardless of his injuries, I think he should have been shut down a little earlier as the season was lost a while ago, probably after the NYI game.

Here is to a speedy recovery and a great off-season for the kid as we need him!!
