Default Would you follow the team to Seattle?

If Ken continued to be an obnoxious crybaby and the hypothetical move came to fruition, would you continue to be a fan?

I'm really not sure I would to be honest.

No way!

As much as it hurts to say, I'd probably become an Oilers fan before I cheer for them.

I would't follow any team that was connected to an owner that moved the Flames from Calgary. My interest in the NHL in general would probably wane quite a bit.

But with an extra half a billion in our collective pockets, we could probably build a cycletrack to everyone's house, so my interest in cycling would skyrocket.

Moved to B.C. from Calgary 20 years ago. The Flames are still #1 in my book. I'll follow them wherever they are.

Yup. I didn't follow this team through the horrible, the good, the mediocre, the bad and then watch them draft Mony, Johnny, Ferland, Tkachuk, Bennett only to stop following them

the last lockout made me care a lot less about the NHL. The Flames moving would kill any interest I have left.

Great question. Even though I have not lived in Calgary for 14 years, in my heart I'm still a Calgarian. Doubt I will ever move back, but it will always be my hometown. Clear as day, I remember Ken Newans reporting that the Atlanta Flames were moving to Calgary, most thursdays a game on TV on 2&7, and listening to Peter Maher the rest of the time. Just like the Horse, the Flaming C was my childhood.

When I lived in Vancouver, I followed he Canucks closely, solely out of pure hate. Being an anti-fan in a rival town is a lot of fun.

Now in Colorado, and have no interest in following the local team.

That being said, I'd probably follow the team, but I don't think the same passion would be there. Not even sure if I'd still feel the same love if I lived in Seattle.

No. And I can't see picking up another team to cheer for like I do with this one. On top of that, hockey is the only sport that I really follow. I don't know; things might change if it actually happened but I could be done with sports altogether other than little bits here and there.

This is a question I considered making a thread on a couple months back considering all the relocations that are ongoing with the NFL like the LA Rams, now the Chargers and the Raiders soon.

Yes. I want them to stay in Calgary forever but god forbid they move, yes. I'm a Flames fan all the way and I support the crest on the front but Johnny, Mony, Brods, Gio, Dougie, Tkachuk and Benny and Backs and Ferly... those are my boys. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dedicate countless hours to this team, learning and shaping my opinions about our players and prospects. I am a Calgary Flames fan but if they ceased to be in Calgary I will follow them wherever they go, essentially.

But if they moved it would hurt. A lot. And it would probably never not hurt.

I'm an all around NHL fan but when it comes to a Favorite team.. the Flames are #1 on my list whenever they are playing, through I may cheer for the Florida Panthers as long as Roberto Luongo minds the net. Wherever he goes, I'll follow.. :P.

I actually would probably stop following the NHL completely. I'm falling out of love with the NHL as is. Lack of physicality, parody is boring in my eyes, players are all just robots now all with the team that makes one or two mistakes losing, goalies look like Michelin Men ( never going to see guys like Kipper, Potvin, Brodeur, etc. again), the cost to go to a game in Canada is astronomical. Without a local team to follow I'd be fine with basketball and football to get me to baseball season.
