yeah, but that's a common fear. (as much as it sucks)
I was curious about other odd fears like mine.
for those talking about urges, I remember watching an old Jim Carrey standup routine from before he hit it big.
he basically said everyone gets those urges or their inner voice telling them to do awful things, but the sane people can resist doing them.

Have you ever seen those prank videos where a bunch of grease monkeys are hanging out in a shop and one bends over and the other guy blasts the airhose and the dudes pants end up around their ankles. I could totally see myself doing that for a laugh. A colleague was telling me about (now unverified story) about a guy who did that to his co-worker instead he got too close and the air went up the sphincter and blew a hole in his colon and nearly killed him. I always think about responsible airhosing whenever I am around one or are using one. I just know my jackhole friends would totally do it.

That this covid thing becomes a zombie apocalypse, but instead having to worry about being bit by a zombie and roaming the earth as an undead freak, it's worrying about touching people and then dying in a field from pneumonia.
Minus the zombies, all the other parts of the zombie apocalypse are in play though. People running around with shotguns and surgical masks, killing people for their cans of soup. Storefronts boarded up and turned into fortresses for gangs, hospitals torn apart by people looking for drugs and supplies...

Holy crap, I thought I was the only one. I seriously shield myself every time I turn the light on to test after I changed the bulb. Like I reach around the wall from the other room, or stand behind something etc.

Sharks. I won't go in deeper than my waist in any body of water that could possibly have a shark in it.

I think only sociopaths aren't at least a little bit concerned about hurtling through the air at 1000KMh 35,000 feet above the Earth in a metal tube built by the lowest bidder.

For me it's dropping my keys into a sewer grate or an elevator shaft

I have Trypophobia.
I had to google it for the spelling and there were pictures. I’m still uncomfortable.

My HS calculus teacher told me that too. He went skydiving to cure it.
Personally I only fear open heights. Me on the roof of a house, fear. Me on the glass floor on the CN tower, all good.
Roller coasters and the like are an in between. It depends on how secure I am.

Eating in front of people.
I become really self-conscious and am afraid of choking. It's happened a couple of time where I did choke because of being nervous and not being able to swallow properly.

I have a fear of tight spaces. I have these dreams where i'm crawling through a very tight space in a cave and I get stuck. I start to panic as I can't move and then I wake up in a cold sweat.

Working as an electrician in a past life, I was taught to turn away every time a piece of equipment is energized for the first time in case of a fault. The resulting flash could damage your eyes...kinda like welders flash I think.
