I loved the completely phony point and wave thing they were doing.
Its sometimes hard to remember that before Tom Hanks went serious, he was probably one of the best comedy performers in Hollywood in his time.
I was disappointment that Steve Martin wasn't bought back for the 5x club.
They used to have brilliant 5x skits in the club, I think Steve Martin tried to poison Baldwin at one point, and Dan Akroyd was a bartender because he only hosted once.

Steve Martin made a cameo last week to welcome Melissa McCarthy into the 5x club.
As they were performing "Hallelujah, I was hoping for cameos of Scarlett Johansson, Melissa McCarthy and Jimmy Fallon as Ivanka, Spicer and Kushner, respectively. I got one out of three.
Just watched last weeks episode last night, and it was probably the best in awhile.
The Rock is just flat out gold with humor. None of the skits out right sucked, and most were up there on the entertainment scale. The wrestling promo had me outright loling.

I think The Rock is pretty solid entertainment.
You know what you are going to get and he rarely disappoints.

I liked Ansari and Villasenor with her slightly off "spicy" bedroom talk.
Totinos with Bayer and Stewart.
ScarJo with the dog translator.
There are lots of good highlights on these lists. However, one of my favorites of this season not represented here was the Sticky Bun sketch. That sketch is so stupidly funny it made me double over on my living room floor.
It's gotta be all those years in the WWE. Keeping a straight face for some of those wrestling storylines would be amazing training for this.

I keep forgetting that Weekend Update Summer Edition is on Thursday evenings now. If you missed it, you can watch it in Canada on the Global App.
Tina Fey reacts to the events of Charlottesville and offers a plan for how to deal with future Alt-Right protests.
Presidents George Washington (Jimmy Fallon) and Thomas Jefferson (Seth Meyers) stop by to discuss being compared to famous Southern slave owners.
