Default Pallet Art

So a few weekends ago my wife and I and some friends did some "pallet art". Basically, you take an old pallet, rip off each panel of wood and then stack a few of them together to make a sort of canvas. From there, we stained the wood and painted on top of them. Two strong pieces of wood on the back run perpendicular to the pallet slats, which keep the whole thing together, and allow you to hang the project when complete.

It was pretty enjoyable, and the use of the pallet wood made the project a little less "clean", so the actually paint job didn't have to be perfect and it still looked good. We really enjoyed doing it, but I don't have unlimited wall space to keep hanging these things up, so one of our friends floated the idea of selling them.

So my general questions are:

1) Would you buy something like this to hang in your home / business?
2) If yes, how much would you pay?

We are not trying to make a business or anything, but if a fun hobby could bring in some extra cash, I won't say no to that. I really have no idea if these are good enough to sell or not. Below are four examples that we've done. I think we can improve the quality a bit as we do more and get better, but this is an idea of what was done. They vary a bit in size, but they are around 2.5 feet wide and 1.5 feet tall.

EDIT: Updated with Imgur links (though I can't see them on my browser, so hopefully they work for others) https://imgur.com/a/qfG3K

Wouldn't buy myself, but for a price point, maybe $60-80?

I think you could make more money hosting a "Pallet Art Night" where you show people how to do it and sell them wine.

I like the last one.

I'd be real interested in pictures of dogs playing various parlor games of chance though

I personally wouldn't buy one (not my aesthetic) but there's probably a market for them. I've seen them at farmers markets in the past.

That said, I'm sure I've also seen them at Winners too so you'd be competing with their prices.

I'd probably buy one, I think those look really nice.

Depending on Price Point.

Just be careful to make sure they weren't treated with any toxic chemicals.

They should probably be fine depending on where they have been and how they were reclaimed. Conceivably a family of mice or rats could have been using them as shelters / toilets.

I have seen these at farmers markets, dept stores, kijiji, varage sale etc. They seem to be the art flavour of the month so to say.
Ones this size seem to go for $40-60 I think.

Also another variation that is very popular are making them into signs, either for your house or for holidays.

Not really my type of art, but I'm sure you could probably make anywhere from 80 to a few hundred dollars a piece depending on what you do. But you have to ask yourself if its worth the effort for that kind of payback.

If your doing it as a hobby and the cost isn't crippling then have fun and if you sell a few then have a nice dinner or buy a nice bottle of wine with it.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Looks like there might be some sort of market for these things if we continue to keep making them. I like the idea of using the wood in more creative ways for a 3D type view, so maybe we'll take a shot at that.
