I wouldn't be surprised if they were able to buy that property from the BBC.
If they really want a "new" Top Gear, maybe they get rid of the Hot Laps & Star In A Reasonably Priced Car segments. Not that I give even the tiniest little nugget of a poop about what this new Top Gear will be, but it will be extra sad an desperate if they copy the old format and just plug in new faces.
I've never really cared for the Star in a Reasonably Priced car segments. I find it pedestrian and boring. People watch Top Gear for the over-the-top excess.
Just change the segment to stars in a real super car or track-car and see how they do.
Decent choices. I think they've all been on Top Gear before too.
I can see it turning out like a British version of Top Gear US. Less car tests, less segments, just challenges and silliness and not much chemistry with the hosts.

Jodie Kidd to me seems like the attractive female version of Clarkson. Could be the deal breaker with this new trio. And she has been on Top Gear multiple times. Big time petrol head too.

Tall and loud?

^ I mostly agree, but that said I always found it hilarious when they would have someone who doesn't even have a license. Those were always some of the most entertaining laps.
hopefully they will have some chemistry but I can so far only imagine it as being as bland and dull as Fifth Gear is.
I think they will lose the bullying/teasing/boys being boys dynamic that the classic trio utilizes in almost everything they do. Almost all the humor and entertainment that made the show endearing arose from making fun of Jeremy, making fun of Richard, making fun of James as they all diss and backstab each other playfully.

Yup. No one really cared that much about the cars. It was all about the hosts.
I like the idea of those 3 being on Netflix. Total content control, imagine what Clarkson will say when he doesn't have to worry about pissing people off.
